Construction on Turvey Park Skate Park has concluded.
Turvey Park is located between Wellington Road and Freeman Lane in Lynhurst. A new concrete skate park will compliment the new basketball / ball hockey area completed in 2019.
The skate park project is to tentatively start on April 1st with Central Elgin completing the subsurface work prior to the concrete contractor starting their work. The tentative start date for the concrete work is April 20th 2020 and is to be completed by August 3rd 2020.
Radius Contracting will be the concrete contractor for this project. A few “local” skate park projects they recently completed are:
Haliburton Skatepark, Municipality of Dysart
Neilson Skatepark, City of Toronto
Forest Heights, Fisher Park, Kitchener, ON
Milton community Skatepark, Milton, ON
Tobermory Community Skatepark, Tobermory, ON

Turvey Park Skate Park is now sodded and open for use! Please note that the new grass cannot be walked on for at least 4 weeks and has been blocked off with caution tape.

Concrete shaping of the first feature began the week of June 22, 2020. Construction crews will continue with this work in sections each day until shaping of the first feature is complete.

Construction started on May 26, 2020 for the Turvey Park Skate Park. Radius Contracting Inc will be on site June 11th to begin the concrete portion of the park. Construction is expected to be completed by the start of August 2020.
