The Study
The Municipality of Central Elgin (Municipality) has retained Arcadis/IBI Group to develop a Stormwater Management (SWM) Master Plan (SWMMP) to establish a much-needed road map for the Municipality to advance the development of a comprehensive stormwater management strategy to address current and future needs within the West Port Stanley (Study Area) area. Refer to Figure 1-1 Location Plan for the Study Area extents.
A key component of the study will be consultation with interested stakeholders (public, landowners and regulatory agencies). Public consultation will involve three (3) Public Information Centres (PICs). This THIRD session will be designed to obtain input from the public to assist informing the decision-making process.
The Process
The study is currently planned as a ‘Master Plan’ project in compliance with the Municipal Engineers Association document "Municipal Class Environmental Assessment,” (October 2000, amended 2023).
