The annual budgets for the Municipality set out the projected revenue and expenditures for tax and user fee supported services including police, fire, water, wastewater, roads, parks, recreation, waste management, street lighting, and land use planning. Budgets are approved annually by Council.

On January 11, 2021 at the Regular Meeting of Council, the 2021 budget was adopted.
TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the provisions of Section 251 of the Municipal Act, 2001, and By-law No. 972 as amended of The Corporation of the Municipality of Central Elgin, the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Central Elgin intends to pass a by-law to adopt the 2021 Budget for the Municipality at its regular meeting of Monday, January 11th, 2021 at 7:30 pm.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that Council shall hear at the said meeting any person, or by his/her counsel, solicitor or agent, who wishes to make representation respecting the proposed budget. The Council shall only hold such hearing for applications received by the Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk or the Deputy Clerk, dwilson@centralelgin.org, on or before Wednesday, January 6th, 2020.
